Data Structures and Algorithms
Trees, heaps, hash tables, graphs, sorting, and algorithm analysis with heavy project work. The most important course in the UF CS curriculum: it gates nearly every 4000-level course and is the core material of technical interviews.
Typical workload: ~14 hrs/week outside class
Scheduled in 5 of 81 UF model plans, usually in semester 4 (sophomore year) and part of critical tracking for 4 majors.
