BSC 2010
Integrated Principles of Biology 1
First semester of UF's two-part biology core: cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, and metabolism. Taken with the BSC 2010L lab. The foundation for every upper-division biology course.
Typical workload: ~8 hrs/week outside class
Scheduled in 21 of 81 UF model plans, usually in semester 3 (sophomore year) and part of critical tracking for 16 majors.
No prerequisites. Open to take anytime.
Non-majors biology (gen-ed only) vs majors biology. Pre-health and life-science majors need BSC 2010; BSC 2005 will not substitute.
