Introduction to Statistics 1
Descriptive statistics, probability, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing. Required for pre-health and a prerequisite for QMB 3250 in the business school.
Typical workload: ~5 hrs/week outside class
Scheduled in 37 of 81 UF model plans, usually in semester 3 (sophomore year) and part of critical tracking for 24 majors.
No prerequisites. Open to take anytime.
Intro statistics vs the calculus-assuming engineering statistics course. Engineering plans typically require STA 3032.
